This version of GitHub Enterprise will be discontinued on This version of GitHub Enterprise was discontinued on 2019-03-27. No patch releases will be made, even for critical security issues. For better performance, improved security, and new features, upgrade to the latest version of GitHub Enterprise. For help with the upgrade, contact GitHub Enterprise support.
After you've checked for existing SSH keys, you can generate a new SSH key to use for authentication, then add it to the ssh-agent.
If you don't already have an SSH key, you must generate a new SSH key. If you're unsure whether you already have an SSH key, check for existing keys.
If you don't want to reenter your passphrase every time you use your SSH key, you can add your key to the SSH agent, which manages your SSH keys and remembers your passphrase.
Generating a new SSH key
Open TerminalTerminalGit Bashthe terminal.
Paste the text below, substituting in your GitHub Enterprise email address.
This creates a new ssh key, using the provided email as a label.
When you're prompted to 'Enter a file in which to save the key,' press Enter. This accepts the default file location.
At the prompt, type a secure passphrase. For more information, see 'Working with SSH key passphrases'.
Adding your SSH key to the ssh-agent
Before adding a new SSH key to the ssh-agent to manage your keys, you should have checked for existing SSH keys and generated a new SSH key. When adding your SSH key to the agent, use the default macOS ssh-add command, and not an application installed by macports, homebrew, or some other external source.
Start the ssh-agent in the background.
If you're using macOS Sierra 10.12.2 or later, you will need to modify your
~/.ssh/configfile to automatically load keys into the ssh-agent and store passphrases in your keychain.Add your SSH private key to the ssh-agent and store your passphrase in the keychain. If you created your key with a different name, or if you are adding an existing key that has a different name, replace id_rsa in the command with the name of your private key file.
Note: The
-Koption is Apple's standard version ofssh-add, which stores the passphrase in your keychain for you when you add an ssh key to the ssh-agent.If you don't have Apple's standard version installed, you may receive an error. For more information on resolving this error, see 'Error: ssh-add: illegal option -- K.'
Add the SSH key to your GitHub account.
If you have GitHub Desktop installed, you can use it to clone repositories and not deal with SSH keys. It also comes with the Git Bash tool, which is the preferred way of running git commands on Windows.
Ensure the ssh-agent is running:
- If you are using the Git Shell that's installed with GitHub Desktop, the ssh-agent should be running.
If you are using another terminal prompt, such as Git for Windows, you can use the 'Auto-launching the ssh-agent' instructions in 'Working with SSH key passphrases', or start it manually:
Add your SSH private key to the ssh-agent. If you created your key with a different name, or if you are adding an existing key that has a different name, replace id_rsa in the command with the name of your private key file.
Add the SSH key to your GitHub account.
Start the ssh-agent in the background.
Add your SSH private key to the ssh-agent. If you created your key with a different name, or if you are adding an existing key that has a different name, replace id_rsa in the command with the name of your private key file.
Add the SSH key to your GitHub account.
Start the ssh-agent in the background.
Add your SSH private key to the ssh-agent. If you created your key with a different name, or if you are adding an existing key that has a different name, replace id_rsa in the command with the name of your private key file.
Add the SSH key to your GitHub account.

Use this command to generate RSA key pairs for your Cisco device (such as a router). keys are generated in pairs–one public RSA key and one private RSA key.
If your router already has RSA keys when you issue this command, you will be warned and prompted to replace the existing keys with new keys.
Generate Rsa Key
NOTE: Before issuing this command, ensure that your router has a hostname and IP domain name configured (with the hostname and ipdomain-name commands).
You will be unable to complete the cryptokeygeneratersacommand without a hostname and IP domain name. (This situation is not true when you generate only a named key pair.)
Here are the steps to Enable SSH and Crypto Key setup : 2 config must requried for SSH
1 Setup Local VTY line User ID and password
router (Config) # Line VTY 0 15

If key doesn't work at all, then that might not be the key, for Steam. You can always wait until Steam sale, and get the half life for like $2, or get the collection for bit more. Half life key generator steam. Instructions to activate Half-Life 2 steam key free (1) Launch Steam and log into your Steam account. (2) Click the Games Menu. (3) Choose Activate a Product on Steam. (4) Follow the onscreen instructions to activate Half-Life 2 key. After successful code verification go to. Download now the serial number for Half Life, Counter Strike and Steam CD-Keys all. All serial numbers are genuine and you can find more results in our database for Half software. Updates are issued periodically and new results might be added for this applications from our community. Getting free Half-Life steam codes is easy as. Select your attack server, enable notifcations, and then press connect. The generator will start. Wait for it to finish and authenticate through KeyIntegrityIP. You should recieve a notifcation with a link to your Half-Life steam key!

router (Config)# ip ssh version2
router (Config)# CTRL Z
Note | Secure Shell (SSH) may generate an additional RSA key pair if you generate a key pair on a router having no RSA keys. The additional key pair is used only by SSH and will have a name such as {router_FQDN }.server. For example, if a router name is “router1.cisco.com,” the key name is “router1.cisco.com.server.” |
Generate Rsa Key Ubuntu
This command is not saved in the router configuration; however, the RSA keys generated by this command are saved in the private configuration in NVRAM (which is never displayed to the user or backed up to another device) the next time the configuration is written to NVRAM.
Modulus Length
When you generate RSA keys, you will be prompted to enter a modulus length. The longer the modulus, the stronger the security. However, a longer modules take longer to generate (see the table below for sample times) and takes longer to use.
The size of Key Modulus range from 360 to 2048. Choosing modulus greater than 512 will take longer time.
| Router | 360 bits | 512 bits | 1024 bits | 2048 bits (maximum) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cisco 2500 | 11 seconds | 20 seconds | 4 minutes, 38 seconds | More than 1 hour |
| Cisco 4700 | Less than 1 second | 1 second | 4 seconds | 50 seconds |
Cisco IOS software does not support a modulus greater than 4096 bits. A length of less than 512 bits is normally not recommended. In certain situations, the shorter modulus may not function properly with IKE, so we recommend using a minimum modulus of 2048 bits.
